Welcome to the Gatekeeper’s Waffle Café - in the heart of Swedish film history!

The Gatekeeper's House is located at the entrance of Gamla Filmstaden (The Old Film City) just a few steps from the tube station 'Näckrosen'. A stroll around this historical place gives pause for thought, the calm and the change of environment inspires creative thoughts. The Waffle Café is decorated in a 1920-1940´s style, in collaboration with the antique boutique Titta In (Take a peak inside) and SF (the Swedish Film Industry). Most of the furniture is for sale, and you might even recognize some props from old movies.

We serve coffee in porcelain pots, freshly made movie star waffles and "seven different cookies" according to the old Swedish tradition.

Our gift shop offers a selection of interesting books, collectibles like a "movie star" deck of cards, cinema candy and old movie posters. We also offer a large selection of movies from the good old days.

Friday to Sunday 11am-6pm

We also recommend a visit to our small movie library. Enjoy a cup of coffee while reading about Filmstaden and our great movies stars.

The "blue" tube destination'Akalla' to 'Näckrosen'.

OR bus 515 from Odenplan or Sundbyberg Station. Get off at 'Näckrosen'.
